"Shipper Shipper!"

Imagine you are in the middle of a meeting or having a deep thinking session in your favorite spot ( the toilet seat :P ) and you get a call “ Shipper! Shipper! Followed by something in another language that you fail to understand”
I am sure it's not a pleasant experience especially when you have a language barrier and you have to either involve a local friend or translate the messages to communicate. This has been on my mind ever since I moved to Vietnam. The point is not whether the problem is big or small but that IT EXISTS and if it exists then surely something can be done about it.
Online shopping is a thing here with big company names like Lazada, Shopee, Tiki and many more. It is convenient to order online and get the goods delivered to your home but then a small inconvenience like the odd or unsuitable delivery time can make the whole experience rather unpleasant.
Where is the convenience if you have to spend more time trying to communicate with the shipper telling them to come another time or drop your package to some other place?
Well, there is a very simple solution if we think about it, some minor changes in the online ordering app will make it so much easier for everyone to manage. Not only the customers but the courier companies can save so much time and effort by adding a simple “choose your delivery time slot” feature on the check-out page.
Lazada offers “collection point” whereas, on Shopee there’s an option to “leave instructions for the seller.” In my opinion and experience they both add on to the ordering time and one might get frustrated.
THE PROBLEM
Lets have a close look at how Lazada works
Lazada’s collection point feature:
1.You add items to your cart
2.Confirm cart
3.At the top of the screen you choose your collection point instead of your home address
4.Select the payment method
5.Whoops! Turns out you can only make payment in advance online.
It's convenient if you prefer paying online and are comfortable with the idea of going to the collection point and picking your package.
But then If you wish to pay cash on delivery then you will have to do it the other way that is:
1.You add items to your cart
2.Confirm cart
3.At the top of the screen you choose your home address
4.Select the payment method : Cash on delivery in this case.
5.Confirm.
THE SOLUTION
According to me the solution is fairly simple, here is the addition that I would suggest
So, this is how it will go if there's a "Choose a delivery time slot" feature available 👇🏼
